Nobel Gig at Ivory Blacks!

ivory_BlacksBob Dylan is one of the worlds most treasured folk singer/songwriters and he has been doing his thing for over 50 years. From Blowing in the Wind to Don’t Think twice Its Alright Bob has wowed audiences and inspired them with his beautiful poetic lyrics about life, love and tragedy.

It was with great pleasure that several weeks ago he has been announced as the surprise winner of the 2016 Nobel Prize for Literature.   According to Nobel, Dylan won his prize “for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition”. Dylan is a modern day Shakespeare who sings his poetry to the tune of his guitar.

To celebrate this prize Bobby Does Dylan is dedicating his next gig at Ivory Blacks to the Bob Dylan Nobel Prize.  Bobby will playing the 300 capacity venue on a wintry night on Friday November the 18th!

This will be Bobby’s biggest gig to date and he hopes that fans of Bob Dylan will turn out to celebrate the prize with him in his final date for the year.  Ivory Blacks will be the last leg of his three venue tour for the second half of 2016, which started with his Dylan Fest appearance in Moville. Bobby then followed it up with a fantastic night at the Scotia bar early in the month and is ready to top it off in In Ivory Blacks In November!

Doors open at 7.30 pm and Bobby will be on stage at 8.30 pm! Tickets are £10 and available to be booked at or can be purchased on the door!
